    • Notice to Interested Parties Mailing

      JAN. 19, 2010 - Annuity and Pension Plan participants may have recently received a mailing titled "Notice to Interested Parties." You do not need to take any action relating to either notice. Periodically, the Plans are legally required to re-apply for a "determination letter" from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). A determination letter contains the IRS's decision of whether the Plan is a "qualified" Plan entitled to tax-exempt status. When we request a determination letter from the IRS, we are legally required to provide the request to our Plan Participants. Click the More button to review the letters. more

    • COBRA Premium Reduction Extended

      JAN. 11, 2010 - The duration for the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) premium reduction initiated under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) has been extended from nine months to fifteen months. more

    • Changes to Annuity Fees and Statements

      JAN. 8, 2010 - Starting this year, you will only receive two paper statements per year from the Boilermakers National Annuity Trust (the Plan). Additionally, the quarterly fee for participant accounts will be increasing from $7.25 per quarter to $9.50 per quarter. more

    • Changes Made to Annuity Plan

      JAN. 8, 2010 - The Board of Trustees for the Boilermakers National Annuity Trust (the Plan) has made changes to the Plan. more

    • Pension Statement Redesigned

      DEC. 21, 2009 - For 2009, the Boilermaker-Blacksmith National Pension Trust took on the project of redesigning and updating the Annual Pension Statement to improve participant understanding and include more useful information. more

    • Pension Plan Announces Amendment 1 Changes

      DEC. 14, 2009 - Recently, the Trustees of the Boilermaker-Blacksmith National Pension Trust announced changes to the Pension Plan. The changes apply only to Pension contributions made on your behalf for work performed on or after January 1, 2010, and do not affect benefits.
